Conference Council

To ensure the highest quality of lectures given at the priorITy the Conference Council was established. Respected specialists sitting on the Council will select only the best and the most consistent with the priorITy motto presentations.

The Conference Council is responsible for evaluating and admitting the lectures to be given at priorITy.

The Conference Council members were chosen among widely recognized authorities in the subject of IT Project Management. Their experience and skills have been briefly described below:

Artur Biały, PMP, President of Krakow PMI Poland Chapter.

Experienced project manager, manager. For over ten years he has been working in the IT sector. He was managing many IT projects. His scope of activity was implementation of complex internet applications, data warehouse and real-time systems.

Artur is an expert in IT project management, business intelligence and real-time applications.

He graduated from University of Technology and Science, the Department of Computer Science,where he was conducting research into Intelligent Agent Systems and Artificial Intelligence.

As an experienced project manager he was given a prestige certificate of Project Management Professional (PMP ®), that is awarded by Project Management Institute (PMI ®) Pennsylvania, USA.

Artur is a Member of Project Management Institute (PMI ®) and Scrum Alliance (Certified ScrumMaster).

John C. Baley, PMP, MBA, PMI Component Mentor

John C. Baley is the current Region 6 PMI Component mentor, and Past President of the PMI Dallas Chapter. John has been a Project Manager for the past eleven years, working at JCPenney, Alliance Data and most recently as a Program Manager at Electronic Data Systems. Most of his experience is in Systems Development and Implementations. He has worked on Projects or Programs for many of the largest Petroleum companies in the world, such as Shell Oil, Conoco/Phillips, CITGO and Union 76.

He is currently a Program Manager at EDS working on the 7-Eleven account providing Production Support programs and System Development projects.


Johns volunteer work with PMI started five years ago in the Dallas Chapter. He was the President from 2004 -2006 seeing the Chapter transition from 2,100 to 3,700 members and lead changes in the Chapter structure from 7 to 11 board members. He is currently the Past President of the Dallas Chapter, still sitting on the board, but is also the Region 6 Component Mentor, taking on that position in 2007. Region 6 is the South Central North America region containing 21 chapters.

John earned his PMP Certification in 2002, and most recently graduated with an Masters of Business Administration from University of Texas at Dallas in 2007.

Doctor-engineer Boguslaw Machowski, PMP, the head of Professional Services Department in ABG SPIN S.A.

He is the head of Professional Services Department in ABG SPIN S.A. In the eighties he conducted research in IFJ-Krakow, DESY-Hamburg, CERN-Geneva. Between 1993-98 he has been an assistant professor in EAIiE Faculty of Telecommunications at University of Technology and Science.

He gained experience at project and team management working on executive posts in Comarch S.A. , MOTOROLA Poland Software Center, eCENTER S.A, ABG S.A. In 2003 he was awarded a PMP certificate. His professional experience comprises of formal methods and procedures (CMMI/SEI, PMBOK/PMI, ISO 9001/2000, TQM), as well as working in project groups, trainings, representation, negotiations and managing large IT projects.

Maciej Bodych, PMP

President of the PMI Poland Chapter Board

He graduated from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology at the Warsaw University of Technology. He specializes in project and project portfolio management , IT management and software engineering. He was leading IT and consulting projects concerning project management for IT, telecommunication, industry, financial and public sector. Since July 2003 he is a member of Project Management Institute (PMI). Currently he is a Project Portfolio Manager in the Project Portfolio Managing Team in Raiffeisen Bank Poland and a President of the PMI Poland Chapter Board.

About the speaker:

Jakub Chabik Computer Science graduate from Wroclaw University of Technology and MBA studies at Poznan University of Economics/ GSU Atlanta. Between 1993 and 1994 he was a grant holder at the Staffordshire University, Great Britain. Currently works as the Head of Processes Development Department in GE Money Bank SA. He regularly writes for Computerworld, where he has his own weekly column since 1999. In the past he has worked for software and IT consulting companies. He specializes in strategic changing of IT organization into well-developed enterprise based on projects, services and processes.
